Lake Cable Rebranding & Website
Lake Cable is a privately held manufacturer of wire and cable with facilities in Illinois and Indiana. They are not the biggest name in their industry but they are without question the best and the most trusted. They have an innovative manufacturing process called Cell Manufacturing in which insulating, cabling, jacketing and packaging are all grouped together as “mini-factories.” Their people are cross-trained to work as a team within each given cell. The result is the most flexible, fastest flowing and effective form of manufacturing wire possible.
Lake Cable had an outdated corporate identity and not much of a web presence. They needed to have a visual brand and marketing tool set that matched the quality of their manufacturing and products. Lake Cable tapped Tandem for the job. We started from the ground up by working with them to define their core mission statements and values. From their we developed a set of logos for their main brand as well as subsidiary brand Lake Copper. We then produced a complete set of branded materials including business cards, letterhead, quote and product spec sheets, print ads and a comprehensive corporate identity style guide.
Next Tandem was hired to take photographs of Lake Cable factory locations. They flew us out in their private jet, traveling to 3 separate factory locations, all within the course of a single day. This was followed by an extensive product shoot where we captured more than 100 distinct wire samples in our in-house photo studio. Click here to view some sample photos.
Finally with the revised branding and new photography, Tandem was tasked to develop their new website and Facebook page. Our partner Dan Gershenson of Caliber was also tapped for brand strategy, custom content and social media writing.
